Candlelight

As I was practising with my crochet I hit on a shell edging tutorial and  decided to give it a try.

I also had a couple of glass jam jars that I was reluctant to throw away (read “recycle”), so it came to my mind that I could upcycle them adding a nice edging and transforming them into candle-holders.

Using some cotton yarn that I already had I first made the red edging and then, when I felt more confident and adventurous, I crocheted the white/red one. 🙂

    Come al solito stupendi!!!!! ma sono lavorati in tondo come hai fatto a farli della misura perfetta dei vasi? Domande stupide forse, ma da ieri mi sto esercitando con la catenella!!!

      In realtà questi non sono lavorati in tondo, perchè al tempo ero “giovane ed inesperta”!
      Questi sono lavorati in linea. Ho iniziato con una bella catenella della misura della circonferenza dei vasetti e poi ho fatto un piccolo calcolo per capire se erano sufficienti per far venire fuori i “festoni” in maniera corretta. Non sono perfetti, ma ingannano molto bene. eheheheh.
      Alla fine ho cucito insieme le estremità e le ho infilate sui vasetti. Devo solo fissarli con un pò di colla a caldo (ora che finalmente ho anch’io l’attrezzo!).
      Comunque sono piuttosto semplici da fare, e visto che ci stai dando dentro con le catenelle, il nostro prossimo randevouz del gruppo Arts&Crafts di Bucci-Rile potrebbe essere dedicato all’uncinetto! Evvai!
