This past week-end I’ve been working a lot on a project that I longed to for a few years! Yes… years!
Some years ago I bought at my local market this light blue cotton fabric with circles pattern that really intrigued me. This is actually the very first piece of fabric of my collection, and I’ve always thought to make a bag out of it, but I didn’t know how to. So it was left waiting along with my other fabrics until the day would come….. And at last, the day has come!
Few years later, as the fabric lightly faded, I was finally able to make my travelbag! I again followed the template that I found on the Sue Kim‘s “Bags the modern classic” book , and made some changes – it is larger than the one on the book – and here is the result. The book gives it a 3 stars of difficulty (3 is the maximum), and I would add an extra half star because I changed the misures too. Not bad for a newbie. 😀
It took me 3 afternoons to stitch it and it is far from being “perfect“… moreover it isn’t exactly as I imaginated it back then, but it is quite handy, both as a gym bag or as a travel bag, and I like it! 😎
