Recently I’ve been actracted to copper wire, and when I found this lovely tutorial on how to make a Wire Heart Clasp, I decided to give it a try!
The nacklace and earings in the following photos are the results… I used thin copper wire and matte white round crystal beads to make a string with the rosary technique, then, with a thicker copper wire I made the heart shaped clasp and ring. I added a greyish/bluish faceted crystal roundel bead and a cultivated fresh water nugget pearl for an extra accent.
I used the same materials for the earings except that I didn’t have the copper studs (and the wire used for the clasp was far too thick), so I made them out of two copper rings from this previous work… I straightened two rings and sanded one end and made a loop on the other…. et voilà!
…btw, I wear the necklace so that the lovely heart clasp is in the front. 😉
