First craft of 2016

5 Jan

I begun the 2016 with a simple craft: two “Totoro” corks….

They are quite simple do do: I just printed some Totoro’s pictures and cut them out in the shape of a glass bead (of those used as decorations for vases). Then I glued the pictures to the bottom of the beads. I waited for the glue to dry and then  I glued the top of the cork to the bottom of the bead.

Et voilà… two Totoro spare-corks. 🙂

Seaside bracelet

22 Jun

I made this bracelet for a fair my friend Paola partecipated in. Apparently it didn’t have much success… just like all my other bracelets…. but I don’t care much: I like it, and that’s all. The colours of the glassbeads and the golden findings make me think of some nice place at the seaside….

Glass beads and gold: it makes me think of summer at the seaside.

Pink Quartz

What to do when you only have two quartz stones?

Mmmmm… I thought about it and since I really didn’t want to make just a pair of earings I decided to mix them with some glass beads of different colours and shapes and make a bracelet out of it. Here is the result paired with some earings too.

It looks like black but it is blue

These are some of my earlier works. Despite the dark glass beads may seem to be black they are actually a very dark blue.

Ladybug

Yesterday evening, as I was watching “The Listener” on TV with that lovely Canadian actor with an almost unpronounceable name, Craig Olejnik, I just felt that it has been quite a while that I didn’t make a new beads bracelet. So I came up with this bracelet with black, white and red glass beads of different shapes, and with a little ladybug charm.

We say that ladybugs bring good luck…. so perhaps I should add more!! 🙂

Onyx and glass

31 Aug

Here is another of my creations. It is made with onyx and some glass beads. I particularly like it because it is the first bracelet that I made using a bit of creativity. I also really like the colour mix. What do you think? The smaller glass beads within the onyx ones are actually more whitish than how they look in the photo.
