I’ve been definitely mesmerized by Zooty Owl’s doily patterns: they are lovely and easy, and the tutorials couldn’t be clearer. So, here is another doily I finished crocheting yesterday…..
Little Red Riding Hat
21 JanJust before Christmas I bought myself a red and beige scarf, but I didn’t have a matching hat. So, at my Saturday local market I bought two yarns of this red/pink/beige mixed tones wool and crocheted myself a hat. Once again I used a pattern from DROPS Design with minor personal changes, and I was even able to crochet the rose… The result is quite nice and it looks better on you.
A neckwarmer for the cold
14 JanMy friend Paola – yes, the very same Paola from my previous posts – is not shy at expressing what she likes that’s why she gets many handmade presents from me! 😉 So, since she liked a scarf and hat that I crocheted last month for myself (and that I haven’t posted yet), I thought that I might make good use of the yarn leftovers and make her a neck-warmer for the cold Winter.
I got the pattern from this amazing website called Garnstudio-DROPS Design, and I added a little shell edging that I learnt from a tutorial on Crochet Spot. I think the result is nice enough to be handed to my friend with no shame on my side. 🙂
Summer Project #3
13 AugI’ve been entertaining the idea to sew myself a tote for a long time. I’ve been studying samples and tutorials ever since and in the end I came up with my own pattern.
Here is the result… well, perhaps I made it a bit too big, and it would better suit Hagrid than me, but as a first attempt, I cannot be but happy.
Once again the raw material is from Ikea.
