Uninspired necklace

7 May

I made this necklace some time ago for a friend’s birthday. It’s a very simple necklace made with chrystals, black glass beads, blue calcite stones, orange (I don’t remember which) stones, cultivated pearls and chain.

I’m sorry to say that I don’t think it’s one of my best handiwork as I wasn’t particularly inspired. Nonetheless it has been apparently appreciated….

Experimenting

29 Jan

In my incessant research of learning new technique I stumbled upon one which involves, once again, wire and beads. There was this pin coming up all the times on my Pinterest and I decided to give it a try. My result is far from being as nice as the one on Pinterest but this was just a first attempt….

A Christmas necklace

20 Dec

For this Christmas I have been asked, by my longtime friend and only recurring customer Simona, to make a necklace that she’ll give as a gift.

I searched the web for some inspiration and, in accordance with my friend, I came up with this one….

Brass and turquoise crystals are the raw material.

Not a choker, not a long necklace.

2016 Christmas Tree ornament

19 Dec

Every year I try to make a new ornament for my ‘alternative’ Xmas tree. This year I have played with beads….

Here it is…

And here is my Tree…

New shape

This is the new shape of a former bracelet.

A friend asked me to turn  her broken bracelet, which incidentally I purchased for her as birthday present about ten years ago, into a necklace.
I think it was a beautiful bracelet, but I am not sure  about it as a necklace….
This is the result…
I am not completely satisfied with it, but  there weren’t too many beads and I had to do with what I had. 😉

Sparkling bracelet

I have been thinking for a while to make something like this bracelet and the chance came when I found the right size of chain at my local market last Friday.

So I made 9 strings using a silver coloured chain adding in between randomly few cultured freshwater pearls from an old damaged necklace of my Grandmother, amethyst beads and tinted jade beads and few matte white glass beads of different sizes.

I really like the result and I think I might add some other strings to make it even richer.

I am also thinking about how to develop it into a larger project……. We will see.

Christmas purchase order 2

31 Dec

Here is another “made to order” gift. I have been asked to make it to match with a necklace that I made before….

As for the necklace I used blue crystal, Korean Jasper, amethyst, red crystal and red/orange agate.

Sunday earrings

I have been thinking for a while to make these earrings and finally yesterday I scraped together all my energies (Autumn is always such a difficult time of the year for me that I have some bear helix in my DNA) and here they are.
They are made of hammered wire and some coloured jade beads. Very easy. I think I might make a bracelet or a necklace to match with them….

Made to order

25 Sep

This crafty passion of mine is becoming a bit lucrative too… 😁
As a matter of fact this necklace here was ordered by a friend as a birthday present.
Obviously I made a special price for my friend, but the most important thing for me is that my work has been appreciated enough to place  me an order! 😄
Anyway it is made with blue crystal, Korean Jasper, amethyst, red crystal, red/orange agate and labradorite.

Purple idea

8 Jul

The weather is terribly hot here lately, and when I get back home from work I don’t feel like doing much else than lying on the sofa in front of the fan (yes I still have a fan!) watching Wimbledon on TV…. but I had an idea for a bracelet in my mind for a while and in the end I surrended to the curiosity to see it completed. Here it is, made of purple and light blue beads and golden wire.
